2008 Polk County Tax Sale Terms & Conditions

Accepted Payment Types:  eCheck (electronic funds transfer), Discover Card, Master Card, and Visa.

A non-refundable Service Delivery Fee will be applied to your total.

Mailed payments: Credit cards are not accepted for payments mailed to our office.

Current Online Payment Services:

• Property Taxes (excluding tax sales) - requires a tax receipt number located on the coupon portion of your tax statement
• Vehicle registration renewal - requires a PIN number located in the upper portion of your renewal notice statement

Vehicle Renewals:  You are eligible to renew online if you received a renewal notice through the US Postal Service that contains a PIN number.  Online service is not available if the vehicle registration fees are past due, proof of SR22 insurance is required or any state debts are owed.

Property Taxes:  What if I'm missing the Tax Receipt Number (TRN) or PIN number?  Proceed with the online payment process.  When the system requests the TRN or PIN, click the "need assistance" tab to request that we email the TRN or PIN to you.

We recommend renewing your vehicle registrations and paying your property taxes online, it’s easy, fast and safe. Online payment options include Discover Card, MasterCard, Visa and eCheck – an electronic transfer of funds from your bank account to the County bank account.

Online tax payments are processed on the first business day following your online payment.
